What we keep

We store the information you enter: your household, financial estimates, goals, assumptions, saved plans and calculation history. A guest plan is stored on our servers too; “no account needed” does not mean nothing is saved. An account adds your email address and a securely hashed password.

Why we use it

We use your information to calculate and save your plan, let you sign in, send account emails, answer support requests and protect the service. We do not connect to your bank, place trades or sell your financial information. Do not enter Social Security numbers, bank login details or full account numbers.

Service providers

DigitalOcean hosts the website and database in the United States. Resend delivers verification and password emails. Cloudflare provides domain, support-email and website analytics services. Support messages are forwarded to the operator’s Gmail inbox. These providers receive information needed to perform those services. External educational links have their own privacy policies.

Cookies and security

Essential cookies keep you signed in and connect you to your guest plan. The service uses encrypted connections and restricted database access. No system is risk-free. Never send passwords or account statements to support. We do not use advertising cookies in this release.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views, see device types such as mobile or desktop, and measure page speed. This analytics service does not use cookies or track people across websites. We do not send your entered financial values, name, email or account identifiers as analytics events. URL query strings and fragments are removed from analytics reports. Counts describe visits, not a verified number of individual people.

Your choices

You can edit your information, download your plan and history, and delete your account through the app. You can also contact support for access or deletion help; we may need to verify ownership. Guest access depends on the browser cookie, so losing it may prevent us from identifying your guest plan.

How long information remains

Plans remain stored until deleted. Account deletion removes the associated active household records. Managed database backups may retain earlier copies for up to seven days. Verification and reset links expire after 30 minutes. Email delivery payloads are cleared after completion or expiry; delivery records and security counters may remain. Provider logs and support correspondence follow their applicable retention practices.
